COURSE SESSIONS

Our courses are taught by SHNU professors and experts from prestigious universities all around the world. We offer more than 500 courses in nearly 40 fields. The following tips can help you determine which courses are best for you.

READ COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course descriptions vary, just as courses do. If you don't find all the details you are looking for, check out the course syllabus, or contact the administrative office. High school students should pay particular attention to any restrictions, as some higher level courses are not open to the Secondary School Program.

CHECK COURSE PREREQUISITE

There are prerequisites listed in some higher level course descriptions. Review prerequisites to help you select courses for which you are sufficiently prepared. Keep in mind that English proficiency is required for all courses.

PREVIEW COURSE TEXTBOOKS

Course syllabi will list required and recommended course textbooks and other course materials, as well as suggestions for where to purchase materials.

CHOOSE A SESSION THAT IS BEST FOR YOU

Most of our on-campus courses meet during the five-week session. We also offer a selection of intensive-learning courses in three-week session and four-week session if you prefer to take a course in a condensed timeframe.

COURSE FORMAT

Course descriptions list the specific class formats, days, times, and credit status. Some courses have separate, smaller section meetings or labs, and the days and times of those are also listed in the descriptions.

Depending on the session, the course, and the number of credits offered, classes meet four to six days per week during the morning, afternoon, or evening hours.

Please review course syllabi for specific course session.
