This course examines the accounting measurements for general-purpose financial reports, the U.S. accounting standards and basics. We will study U.S. GAAP, fundamentals of income statements, balance sheet and statements of cash flow. The course also introduces the basics of principles and standards of balance sheet valuation, financial disclosure, income measurement and cash flow analysis. Upon completing the course, students should be able to apply accounting fundamentals to solve real world problems.
