To better serve the need for solving statistical problems, this course gives student a clear demonstration of statistical knowledge. It includes descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, basic inference, advanced inference and particularly stressed the following topics like sampling distributions, confidence intervals and hypothesis tests on the mean, proportion, variance. It also explained difference between two proportions, chi-square tests and linear regression and correlation. The course emphasizes understanding the process linked with statistical decisions, analyzing the data and using the results in statistical decision making.
