Ethical issues are easily overlooked in communications. However, it hurts other people as well as the industry reputation badly. This course will acknowledge students the normative ethics of communication and help them to build the awareness of ethical communication in multiple perspectives and situations, including dialogic, public, interpersonal, organizational, intercultural, business and professional, health care, and crisis. The ethical issue in mass media will also be the focus of this class. By completion of this course, students should be able to think and analyze the ethicalness of a communication event and apply communication methods and approaches in an ethical way.
