Description

This course demonstrates how the world was reconfigured by warfare, empires, nations, and revolutions during the past five centuries and became the globalized world today. We will discuss a variety of issues including early global connections and conflicts; religious conflicts; slaves and slavery; European Imperialism in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia; Independence Wars; World War Iⅈ Cold War; Globalization. This course will provide you with a solid grounding in world history and ideally encourage you to pursue further historical interests.
